My name is Michael, and I am a MD/PhD candidate at the Jacobs School of Medicine at the University at Buffalo. I have passed USMLE Step 1, the first medical board exam, and have tutored medical students on all preclinical topics. I have also leveraged what I learned earning a composite 521 MCAT score to counsel premedical students. With my experience with content review and practice exams, I know how to succeed with the MCAT’s specific format.

My passion for teaching began in high school, where I privately tutored math and physics for high schoolers. In college, I worked with a volunteer group for 3 years teaching my peers biochemistry. With a mix of in-person and online tutoring, I have learned what works for each medium. With my experience with many different age groups, I am sure that I can help you no matter your stage of education.
My tutoring process is the result of years of experimentation and working with hundreds of students with different learning styles. I start by finding out how you learn best, and we will work together to determine the best learning method for you, tailoring the curriculum to fit you. I will then create resources that cover high-yield topics and work through practice questions with you to ensure you have a good foundation. I hope my qualifications showcase my experience and demonstrate that we can work together to help improve your understanding.
I am well-versed in physics, math, and biology due to my college coursework and medical subjects through my medical school coursework. I have taken physics courses covering calculus, quantum mechanics, and electromagnetism. I have taken biology courses covering neurobiology, biochemistry, and immunology. I have taken medical courses on all organ systems, anatomy, and ethics.
I understand how discouraging it is to be stuck on a concept, so I strive to be easily reachable and respond quickly. I believe that every student can succeed with the right mentoring, and I am excited to guide you through the subjects troubling you.
