I have been an Adjunct Lecturer for a year while obtaining my MFA. It is of the utmost importance to me that students who struggle with the coursework feel comfortable meeting with me for support outside of the classroom. I've made myself flexible to students who needed me to change my approach to handling the course materials and I have accommodated them, finding the balance between the lessons I have planned and their needs.

I think tutoring is a great way to give back and help inspire people to feel more confident in their abilities to learn and comprehend difficult materials. I love being able to help someone understand and succeed in their area of study. In the past, tutoring services that I went to gave me the tools, knowledge, and confidence I needed to excel in my own studies and pass courses I thought I never would. Giving that back to someone else is all I could hope to achieve and strive to do.

In my teaching experience, I have built my instruction, curriculum, and assessments on differentiated learning, ensuring all students can equitably reach their academic potential. I am proud to foster an engaging and safe environment for my students to interact with their classmates and the texts. There isn't one single best way for students to learn and for me to teach them, rather I want my students to familiarize themselves with different modes and methods of learning and engagement.

As Co-editor of Hunter College's first and only Literary Journal, Solar, I am well-versed in proofreading and copyediting poems for digital publication and I have created the visual design for Solar's social media page.
