When I was in college and post-college, I was the official Sciences tutor in my school (for all Bio, Physics and Chemistry courses). A recurring occurrence I saw in the students I taught was that they were told those were ''weed out'' subjects that had a steep learning curve. The students did their best to retain and understand the material, but when it came down to applying that knowledge to the problems, they would get stuck. The problems presented tended to be wordy and vague, and the students would feel helpless, not knowing where to start.
I have been tutoring for 5+ years, and have a passion to help students thoroughly understand the material and utilize the skills taught during tutoring sessions. Albert Einstein once said, "If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will believe that it is stupid”. Many students encounter difficulty and get discouraged easily when it comes to the problem-solving portion of the sciences, usually due to a lack of skills to think critically when it comes to dissecting problems.
I have been tutoring for 5+ years through a university, and have also worked in a research lab at a hospital that deals with immunotherapeutic cures for pancreatic cancer. I have a very strong background in the subjects I tutor, as well as test prep for all sections on the MCAT.I have a bachelors in Biology and have taken all the subjects I tutor on a deeper level in order to understand them fully.
