Hi I'm Hannah. I graduated from Oberlin College and Harvard Law School and since then I've been a trial attorney, a mediator and a tutor.

Part of the reason I love tutoring is because I loved school. As cheesy as it sounds, I love watching my students get excited about learning. When I'm tutoring I aim not only for students to get more proficient in a particular subject, but for students to become more confident in their abilities.

I have experience tutoring middle school, high school, and college students in a variety of subjects and SAT/LSAT prep. I've been trained by Scholar Match in college prep and have assisted students in this process. That includes exam prep, crafting applications, making balanced college lists and essay brainstorming and editing.

My main tenet when it comes to tutoring is that no student learns the same way. I like to start a tutoring relationship by engaging with my student to figure out the best way to work together, what their learning style is, and how they like to receive feedback. I like to make sure to spend each session in a variety of different modalities to keep students engaged. That might mean in the course of an hour we have time where I present to a student, a student presents to me, we review practice questions and we discuss a topic. I also leave time at the end of every session for my tutee to give feedback on their learning experience so that I can make sure to best tailor my approach.
