I am a current sophomore at Cornell University studying Biological Sciences. I have been a professional tutor since 2018 when a private tutoring company hired me in New York City. During that time, I have helped many students with SAT Math, SAT II Math, and ACT Math, all of which I scored max-score. I am driven by my students' improvements and their desire to learn and succeed. I have helped many students gain back their confidence and exceed their initial goals. Students that have been prepping with me for at least 2 months saw a 50+ increase from their initial practice test score.
Since my personal experience with test prep has been fairly recent, I am confident that I can help high school students reach their dream scores. I know the content of the test extremely well, and I remember all of the techniques that I used to ace my exams. I understand how frustrating math can be, but with my test prep tips and tricks, students will have no problem learning the material and acing their tests.
In addition to helping with test prep, I have also helped many peers with their college application. I have peer-reviewed my peers' and students' personal essays and supplementals. I have been to many college panels and talked to many professionals in the field, including college counselors and admission officers.
I scored an 800 on Math SAT and Math SAT II, 36 on ACT Math, and a 5 on AP Calculus BC. I also received an A in Multivariable Calculus for Engineers at Cornell (my home college). I have extensive knowledge in middle school, high school, and intro college math. I enjoy learning and teaching math. I have tutored many students in Algebra I and II, AP Calculus AB and BC, ACT Math, and the Math SATs. I have helped students understand confusing topics and improve on their class exams.
I work with real practice exams from the College Board and ACT, and students are welcome to bring their own material. Through our tutoring sessions, my students have seen 50+ increases in their Math SAT scores.
