Tiffany - Violin teacher and performer

I have been playing the violin for over 20 years and am currently a doctoral candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center in Manhattan. I love teaching students and have lots of experience teaching different age groups. I am have studies with renowned violinists and educators, Miriam Fried and Mark Steinberg. Through their teachings, I've developed many musical skills that I hope to pass on to other players, whether they are looking to play professionally or are just playing the violin for fun. Teaching gives me the ability not only to connect with people and share my ideas, but I learn from the students as well. I would love to continue developing my skills by helping others to achieve their goals on the violin. My goal as a teacher is to create a safe space so that students can grow to their fullest musical potential.

I have received exceptional musical education from the New England Conservatory (B.M. and M.M.) and passed my ear training and music theory classes with A's. Along with my own studies, I have worked with students at the NEC Preparatory School as well as the Harmony Program in NYC. Playing in and managing orchestral ensembles, I have plenty of experience when it comes to collaboration and sharing musical ideas.
