I graduated from Yale magna cum laude with a BS in Data Science and Education and have been tutoring for about 10 years (time flies!). I have tutored students ranging from 3rd grade through adult learners. Additionally, I worked as a tour guide for Yale Admissions, and have used what I learned to offer both writing support and general application advice for high school seniors going through the college process. Many of my students are now attending their top choice schools!

My unique approach places an emphasis on building a student's problem-solving confidence and pattern-seeking instincts. My students have told me I have a knack for making complex concepts accessible regardless of their learning style.
I have 6+ years of experience in offering a range of writing support, from the earliest stages of drafting to the final proofread. As a professional researcher, I have authored several publications. I have edited everything from free verse poetry to PhD dissertations, and regardless of medium, the single most important thing about my approach is to center the writer's voice. While grammar and "conventions" are important, the best essays allow the unique voice of the writer to shine through. A great tutor does not inject their own voices and ideas, but rather elevates those of the student.
