Hello! I'm Alicia, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston College with almost 10 years of experience tutoring children and adults in English and Japanese. I love to help students get to their "aha!" moment :)

Some background about my education:
I graduated from a rigorous AP-curriculum international K-12 school in Japan, and have taken 8 AP courses and 9 AP tests in a variety of disciplines while being heavily involved in cheerleading and community service. In my sophomore year of college I transferred from the Honors Program at Bentley University to Boston College. As a transfer student who has experienced more than one college, and now has applied to college twice - once in high school, once in college - I am confident I can give some valuable insights on the college application and selection process. At Boston College, I was in the top 15% of my class. I have also recently taken the LSAT, and am applying to law schools.

I've helped elementary schoolers during bus rides to and from school, and have been tutoring 4th and 6th grade math during and after college.

During my 4 years of high school, I taught English to elementary and middle school students every Saturday. I continued my passion by working as a writing tutor for my college where I edited my peer's creative writing, essays, and reports. Now, I work as an English tutor for children and adults.

I'm fluent in Japanese, and have spent the majority of my life in Tokyo. I've been helping high school and college students with their Japanese class homework, and have also helped with Japanese Saturday school (hoshuuko) homework!
