My love for science makes me a great tutor. I transfer this passion into my tutoring sessions and always bring in real-world examples of whatever unit a student is learning. As a group tutor of Organic Chemistry, I received excellent feedback from students and my students’ test performance improved throughout the semester. I am qualified to teach college-level Physics, including mechanics, electricity, and magnetism.
I have experience working with students of all ages and abilities and have taught everything from elementary school math to chemistry for adults. I have prepared over 100 students for the New York State Regents exams, in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I tutor standardized test prep for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and SAT subject tests.
I am a flexible tutor who adapts to all types of students with different abilities and adjust to any level of comprehension to meet a student or parent's goals. I mirror my student's understanding and always teach at an appropriate level, whether students need foundational skills or high-level tips before taking a test. My patience is one of my best qualities and I never get frustrated at a student struggling to understand. I am proficient in online teaching and have tutored online since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am competent with Zoom as a communication and instructional tool, and always keep my students engaged.
