Hi, My name is Georgina S.

I am working full-time in Investment Banking (Bulge bracket) in New York City.

I am Cornell University Alumni (dean's list) where I received a BA in economics and minor in business administration, nutrition, and inequality studies. I studied Economics abroad at New College, Oxford in the UK. I was also involved in research focusing on consumer choice and behavior. I also have experience interning in Investment Banking and Capital Markets at Bulge Bracket Banks in NYC and happy to help with the interview prep and answer any questions!!

I have been tutoring students for the past five years and have tutored students of all ages (kindergarten to sophomores in college). My main areas of expertise is all levels of mathematics (basic algebra to college linear algebra) and economics (from macro to regression analysis) and homework help. My diverse studies also allow me to teach a broad range of subjects and levels (I have tutored ACT test prep and strategy, Spanish, Sociology to name a few).

My favorite part of tutoring is when students get that “ah-ha” moment and everything suddenly makes sense. As a tutor, my goal is to help guide students to the answer by helping them understand the essential ideas and concepts first and then working to implement them so problems. Each session is different as I create lessons plans based on the student’s learning preference and goals. For example, some sessions will be focused on going through material/concepts for an upcoming exam while others sessions will be going through assigned homework (either from me or school).
