Hello and welcome to my profile! A little about me and how I can help your student. I grew up in Roxbury, CT, attended Phillips Exeter Academy and then Columbia University. As an undergrad at Columbia, I majored in Neuroscience and was captain of the heavyweight rowing team. After college I worked in cancer research at Weill Cornell for 5 years while completing a post bacc. I am now a first year medical student at SUNY Downstate where I am president of the class, and in line for academic distinction.
I have been tutoring middle school, high school and collegiate level science courses for 10 years and was a Biology TA at Columbia for 2 years. My students do extremely well; earning A's in their classes and testing in at least the 90th percentile on standardized tests. More than just course specific content, I provide the perspective and tools that will make them successful students in their future endeavors. I absolutely love teaching and hope to pursue academic medicine in the future.
