Hello & welcome!

My name is Eileen, and I am a cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. I have also completed a Master’s degree in Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine at the University of Southern California. I am currently a fourth-year medical student applying to residency. Throughout medical school, I have passed the CBSE, USMLE Step 1, and Step 2 CK on the first attempt, and earned Honors/High Pass on all NBME core shelf exams. These experiences have strengthened both my knowledge base and my ability to teach high-yield concepts in a clear and approachable way.

I have been tutoring for over 10 years, and it continues to be one of the most meaningful parts of my academic and professional life. I have worked with students at the high school, undergraduate, and medical school levels, helping them improve their grades, strengthen understanding, build confidence, and develop effective study habits. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style using visual explanations, concept mapping, discussion-based reasoning, memory techniques, and guided practice. I also incorporate commonly used board prep resources, including Sketchy, UWorld, and AMBOSS, to review content and practice questions in real time. My teaching focus is always on building true comprehension, rather than memorization.

Majoring in a subject that once felt overwhelming has given me a unique empathy for students who feel intimidated by science. Biology, chemistry, and clinical sciences can feel abstract at first — but with the right guidance, the concepts become logical and rewarding. I strive to help students make connections, understand the “why,” and actually enjoy the learning process.

If you are looking for someone who is patient, knowledgeable, and committed to going above and beyond for your success, you are in the right place. I look forward to working with you — let’s get started!

USMLE

I am a fourth-year medical student currently applying for residency with strong performance across all standardized medical exams. I passed the CBSE, USMLE Step 1, and Step 2 CK on the first attempt, and earned Honors/High Pass on all NBME core clerkship shelf exams. I have extensive experience studying efficiently while balancing clinical rotations, and I enjoy helping students build structured study plans and strong clinical reasoning. I focus on simplifying high-yield concepts, teaching test-taking strategies, and supporting students with confidence and clarity.

Patient, helpful, and understanding

Eileen is a really patient, helpful, and understanding tutor from what I understand in my sister's response, "Eilleen explained everything and asked questions to see if I really understood the topic, understand how much I know, and what I need clarifications on." At first, she thought all the names in biology are just random, but she learned that they all had meanings and found biology different. (First class impressions)
