I'm a copywriter, poet, brand strategist, and educator passionate about empowering students and writers to tell their stories and bring their ideas to life with undeniable clarity. I earned my MFA in 2014 from Arizona State University, where I taught University Writing, Rhetoric and Composition, and Poetry to undergraduates from 2011-2014. In 2022 I earned a master's degree in brand strategy from the School of Visual Arts, where I currently teach research, writing, and storytelling to master's students as a faculty thesis advisor. In the meantime, I've worked as a writer in residence at the Mayo Clinic; a copywriter for small businesses, startups, nonprofits, and national brands; and a writing coach and tutor for private clients, including undergraduate and graduate students and professionals.

As a tutor, I specialize in working with students through the drafting and editing process for a variety of writing projects, including research papers, articles, cover letters, poems, stories, and other creative manuscripts. My approach is tailored to the needs of each student and based on written feedback and discussion. Along with editing for style and content, we'll work together to clarify your goals, both as a writer and for your project, and then make a plan to accomplish them.

My experience as a professional educator and writer has equipped me with a wide range of tools to make writing stronger, clearer, more beautiful, and more true to a writer's voice. I'm here to share those tools and help my students become their best first editors and strongest advocates for their ideas and their writing.

Please reach out with any questions. I look forward to working with you.
