Nicole F.

I am Nicole F and I am a 3rd-year Mathematics teacher. I have taught in three different schools these last three years as well as been a substitute teacher in the NYC Public Schools for two years. My first year teaching was in an all-girls Catholic High School, Fontbonne Hall Academy, where I taught Algebra 2 and Algebra 2 Honors. I was also the faculty coordinator for their drama club, where the students performed Mean Girls the Musical: High School Edition.

For my second year teaching and I was teaching 7th grade Mathematics at PS/IS 226. Before teaching at a public school this year, I was a NYC DOE public school substitute teacher from 2020-2022. During this time, I was able to experience teaching students of all ages, ranging from kindergarten up to high school. This has allowed me to have a wide range of grade-level experience when it came to teaching.

This is my 3rd year Teaching, and I am teaching 5th and 6th grade Math at Saint Saviour Catholic Academy. I am also directing the school musical, and we are performing High School Musical Jr. I have also received my Special Education Certification.

Although I have many years of teaching experience, I also have many years of tutoring experience as well. During my undergrad at Iona College, I had the opportunity to start tutoring as part of my fieldwork hours. We were required to tutor for 10 hours per semester at their tutoring center for the students of the New Rochelle School District. I have also been a tutor for LearnIt Systems and Varsity Tutors. LearnIt Systems was a company that provided summer school for students in the Diocese and Yeshiva School Districts of Brooklyn and Queens. With this company, I was able to teach ELA, Math, and STEAM through Google Meet. Varsity Tutors allowed me to tutor students for the Algebra Regents, ELA Regents, and general Mathematics.
