I’m a published writer and trained private tutor with a mixed background in the arts, French literature and social sciences. I have a BFA from l’école Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy where I also completed my first year of Masters and I have a BA in cultural anthropology from l’Université Toulouse Jean-Jaurès as well and I hold a DAEFLE certification which is a diploma focusing on building skills in teaching French to non-French speaking students. I’ve been part of many writers groups in France which is still how I get feedback from my writer peers on my fiction writing enterprise.

In the past few years, I taught French for different clients and companies in New York such as Fluent City, Coucou French Classes, EFNY, and Brooklyn Beanstalk.

My approach to teaching is based on the use of the language as it interacts with situations in normal day-to-day life. It puts the emphasis on understanding, and oral expression. My training courses are made to measure, and are adapted to the pupils' environment.
I also make sure that my students learn a strong French grammar basis as French grammar is a cornerstone of learning the French language and plays a vital role in achieving proficiency and effective communication as I think mastery of grammar is integral to achieving language proficiency. It enables learners to navigate different dialects and registers of French and adapt their language usage to diverse situations, fostering confidence in communication.

I can also train you for qualifications in French as a Foreign Language (DELF and DALF).
