I am currently an Inclusion teacher, working with high school students, where I provide support and services to students that have transitioned to a least restrictive environment, from special education to general education. I also have experience teaching self-contained middle school (Special Education), and Algebra 1 and Life Science to special education students, some of who are my current students. While I have completed 3 years as a teacher, I have spent a number of years in the education field.

Throughout my undergrad career I obtained employment as a teachers’ assistant, and a computer lab monitor, where I was mainly responsible for tutoring college students in Algebra and provide technical assistance to students in faculty. Similar to my peers that I tutored during high school, the college students also experienced success after putting in hours of work, reviewing materials with me. A strategy that I found plenty of success with is using alternative methods and examples to explain content in a manner in which the student would best understand it. Adjusting content to students’ needs is a major key.

My goal is to build confidence and encourage you to think critically. These are two things that can be used in various aspects of life.
