Hello! I’m Sara, an artist and educator with a lifelong passion for collaborative learning and creativity. A Montessori graduate and Suzuki violinist, I’ve always known the power of thinking outside the box. I have coached hundreds of students in test prep, academic courses, and writing, and I have found that with patience and humor, anyone can be brought to understand anything.
Originally from New Orleans, I majored in history as an undergraduate at Yale and completed my JD at NYU Law. In between, I spent two years in Paris, where I researched post-war feminism and reproductive rights as a Fox Fellow at Sciences Po.
My teaching experience is vast. From tutoring my peers in French at the Yale Center for Language Studies to leading legal research seminars for inmates serving life sentences in maximum security prisons, I’ve worked with a wide range of learning profiles and personalities.
I taught in person with the top tutoring companies in New York for nearly a decade before moving my practice online so that I could travel and work as a touring musician. I am happiest when teaching and composing music, and I feel there is nothing more instructive than one’s own creative instincts.
