I have degrees from Amherst, Columbia and Johns Hopkins University, ten years in print, broadcast and magazine reporting, and over twenty years of teaching experience both in the U.S. and abroad. I have worked with students from across the geographic, economic and cultural spectrum, including in non-profit mentoring positions in underserved communities in New York, as a Teaching Fellow at Doshisha University in Japan, and as an adjunct assistant professor at Columbia University.
