Bio

My strengths as a teacher and tutor are the abilities to work with students who learn differently while keeping lessons engaging and fun. As a part-time art teacher, I have formulated creative ways to work with varying ages and personalities, and I am able to apply that in my tutoring. I am currently working towards my Masters in Art Education, and would like to work with students who are aiming to improve their English, reading and writing skills. I aim to keep sessions refreshing while at the same time maintaining the educational integrity of each lesson objective.

I am empathetic towards the learner with special needs, and am usually able to work with families or individuals to develop individualized ways of working that lead towards successful outcomes.

I am currently working towards my Masters in Art Education and am a part-time middle-school art teacher, so I am certainly qualified in the area of drawing! I am a painter and drawer myself, and find a great deal of joy in sharing my love of the arts with my students. When it comes to art education, I believe that it is most important to approach lessons from a personal perspective and motivation - and to work with the materials. From there, wonderful outcomes are achieved!

As an art educator and painter, I enjoy working with students to help them to achieve their visions as artists. I find that the most important thing I can do is to provide students with the tools they need - a knowledge of materials and the motivation to create - so that they might accomplish whatever it is they desire in the art studio or in their own space, be that a portrait, a sculpture, or a comic strip (or something I hadn't even thought of!)
