I have been an educator for a combination of more than 12 years. Professionally I taught middle/high school Science, Mathematics, English Language Arts, English Literature, Moral Education and Religious Education. I also taught Early Childhood for three years. I have tutored students from age five to college students. I have also designed and developed programs. I am skilled in lesson planning and delivery.

I hold a Master of Education in International Teaching from Framingham State University and I am completing a NYS approved Master of education degree in Childhood education with Special Education. I am a creative educator and promote a culture of respect and love for learning. I employ different teaching methods. I also focus on building my students’ self-esteem and confidence and teach them how to be independent learners.

I presently teach in an ICT 6th grade classroom as the general education teacher.

I have taught religious and moral education formerly at a denominational school. I have also prepared students for the reception of the sacraments. I completed a Bachelors of Theology which included concentrations in Biblical Studies, Religious Studies and Church history among others.

I have worked three years as a lead teacher in early childhood education. I also have one year formal teaching experience in an ICT kindergarten classroom. Last year I taught grades one and two. Prior to this I have had four years of experience in Middle and High School teaching Science, English Language Arts, English Literature and Moral and Religious Education. I have had specific training in literacy and administrated a literacy program.

I have taught for over 11 years including Mathematics at varying levels including at elementary and middle school. I have a passion for Mathematics, and so when I teach Math, I transfer that enthusiasm. I aim at making Math Fun and building my student's self confidence.
Phonics

I teach reading, and phonics is a key element in the teaching of reading. I have 12 years of experience as a teacher spanning Early Childhood, and elementary through to high school. Apart from this, I have tutored for maybe over twenty years. I employ different approaches, and work on my students' building of their confidence and obtaining a solid foundation. I have a Master of Education degree. Also, I have attended and also assisted in delivering workshops in reading and phonics.

I have taught reading and writing, specializing in early literacy. I have worked in developing pre-reading skills and language development in students as young as toddlers. I have taught both reading and writing in kindergarten and grades one thgrough three. I have also taught English Language and Literature at Middle and High School. Karen
