Since graduating from Harvard in 2014, I've helped dozens of students achieve their goals, from boosted grades to acceptance at a dream school.

I work hard to help my students experience that special thrill that comes from learning something new, and breaking through to new heights of success.

Having trouble with schoolwork? I'll help you find the joy of reading a beautiful sentence, comprehending a historical pattern, marveling at a scientific process, or thinking through an elegant mathematical truth.

Struggling with a new language? We'll work to get you to that mind-expanding plateau of possibility that comes with commanding new words and ways of living through them.

Need help with a writing assignment or project? Whether it's rewording, restructuring, or just the boost in confidence that comes from a new set of eyes, I will give you whatever you need to take your writing that extra inch toward perfection.

Daunted by the college application process? As I always tell my students, college applications, essays, and exams (such as SAT and ACT), are a game -- and anyone can learn to play. I'll teach you the skills needed to succeed.

I've been through it all -- and helped countless others just like you. Let's work together!

Anthropology

Anthropology

I have a Secondary Field (Minor) certification in Anthropology from Harvard. For this certification, I was required to take several anthropology courses, and I also undertook an independent study with a major anthropologist. I am conversant in the theory and history of anthropology and the praxis of anthropological fieldwork.
College Counseling

College Counseling

For several years, I've helped students hone and perfect their college applications, including detailed editing of application essays, with dazzling results. From my experience inside and outside several elite colleges, I know the application process quite well -- including how the admissions committees of top universities actually make their decisions. Putting this expertise into practice, I've helped students strategize about which colleges to apply to, and how to maximize the potential of each application for admission success.
Music History

Music History

I have an extensive knowledge of the Western classical music repertoire and its history, spanning from Renaissance and "early music" through the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern periods. Basic musical form and structure, the evolution of various musical styles, and the biographies of composers, are all part of my conversant knowledge. In addition, I have a good grasp of the history of American popular music in the 20th century, from its roots in African American musical forms from the deep South up to the present day. I also have a very basic knowledge of certain world music traditions, such as Hindustani classical music, and various Latin American popular styles.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

In addition to my extensive experience and training as an actor, I have had substantial experience speaking in public. I participated in Model United Nations in high school, for which I wont several awards including best delegate of a Mock Trial-type committee, won the public speaking award at a Rotary Youth Leadership Award retreat, and was a finalist for the Boylston Elocution Prize at Harvard. This experience, coupled with my experience directing actors in a theatrical context, puts me in a good position to help anyone with the task of engaging with an audience, whether it be giving a prepared speech, debating, or speaking extemporaneously.
Theater

Theater

I have an extensive working and theoretical knowledge of the history and practice of theatre. I've been a playwright and actor all my life, have had my own original plays produced by professional theatre companies, and have directed productions with budgets ranging from the shoestring to the semi-professional. I also have substantial experience with the non-creative aspects of theatre such as stage management.
