I am a psychological researcher, data analyst, and professor with a PhD in Social/Personality Psychology and a Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). I carried out postdoctoral research in quantitative social and health psychology at the Healthy Aging Lab at Chapman University. I also have a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Flute Performance from the Copland School of Music at Queens College.

I specialize in quantitative pedagogy and have spent years as an instructor and course tutor for undergraduate through doctoral statistics courses at CUNY and NYU. I also spent 3 years as a Quantitative Reasoning Fellow at CUNY, working closely with professors across disciplines to incorporate quantitative literacy skill-building into curricula. I was also a capstone project research design and analysis advisor to graduate psychology students at CUNY. I have worked as a statistical consultant for the Bernard van Leer Foundation and NYU Law School’s Civil Rights Clinic. I am an expert in Stata and SPSS, with basic skills in R and Python.

I am also a passionate flutist and music educator. Prior to graduate school, I taught flute, band, and music theory for 10+ years to students of all ages in NYC public schools, private studios, and the Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College.

I am highly competent at tutoring high school through graduate-level statistical analysis and teaching flute to students of all ages. I am also highly competent at talking undergraduate and graduate students through research design as well as teaching introductory psychology, social psychology, and music theory.
