Hi, I'm an undergraduate Cornell University student studying Cognitive Science with a 4.08 GPA, hands-on research experience in neuroscience and behavioral science, and a 1510 SAT score. I graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 2024 studying Civil Engineering.

My teaching experience began with STEAM Champs, where I served as Head Coach and designed hands-on STEM curriculum for youth, focusing on problem-solving and breaking down complex concepts into steps that actually make sense to students. I've worked in both group and one-on-one settings, and I've found that the most effective approach is meeting each student where they are, identifying the specific gap in understanding and building from there with patience and clarity. I also co-founded the Cognitive Science Club at Cornell, where I regularly facilitated academic discussions and helped peers connect complex research topics to real-world applications.

I have most studied biology, chemistry, psychology, neuroscience, and related STEM subjects, and I'm equally comfortable helping students with SAT prep, mathematics up to pre-calculus and calculus and building stronger study habits. Whether you're preparing for an exam, working through a tough concept, or looking to get ahead, I'm here to make the process less overwhelming and more effective. Feel free to reach out, I'd love to help you reach your goals!

Approved Subjects

Biology

Biology

I am a Cognitive Science student at Cornell University who has completed Introduction to Comparative Physiology and Introduction to Cell and Developmental Biology, both with A's, covering foundational topics such as cellular structure, organ systems, developmental processes, and physiological function. My hands-on experience as a research intern at the New York State Psychiatric Institute further deepened my understanding of biological systems at the molecular and cellular level, giving me real-world context to bring into tutoring sessions. Through my experience coaching youth at STEAM Champs, I have developed a clear and patient teaching style that helps students connect difficult biological concepts to the bigger picture. Whether you are struggling with cell division, working through physiology, or preparing for a big exam, I will break the material down in a way that is approachable and easy to retain.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I am a Cognitive Science student at Cornell University who has successfully completed General Chemistry 1 and 2 with strong grades, building a solid foundation in topics such as stoichiometry, chemical reactions, thermodynamics, molecular structure, acids and bases, and buffers and titrations. Through my experience coaching youth at STEAM Champs and facilitating academic discussions at the Cognitive Science Club, I have developed a patient and structured teaching style that breaks down intimidating material into clear, manageable steps. Whether you are preparing for an exam, catching up on a tough unit, or trying to build a stronger understanding of chemistry fundamentals, I will meet you where you are and work with you until it clicks.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

As a Cornell University student with a 770 on the Math SAT, I have a strong foundation in mathematical reasoning that I love breaking down for younger learners. Through my work as Head Coach at STEAM Champs, I designed and delivered hands-on math and STEM curriculum for youth, focusing on making abstract concepts concrete, fun, and easy to understand. I work patiently with students to identify exactly where confusion starts and build confidence from that point forward, whether the topic is basic arithmetic, fractions, word problems, or early geometry. My background in cognitive science gives me unique insight into how children process and retain information, which helps me tailor my approach to each individual student.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I am a Cognitive Science student at Cornell University with a love and deep interest in neuroscience. I have completed Introduction to Neuroscience, How the Brain Makes the Mind, and Introduction to Behavior, all with A's. Beyond the classroom, I actively pursue neuroscience at a professional level as a member of the Neuroscience Team at the Laboratory of Rational Decision Making, where I analyze behavioral and brain-imaging datasets and help interpret research findings. I also completed an internship at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where I supported clinical neuroscience research through data collection, experimental procedures, and lab protocols, giving me a level of subject-matter depth that goes beyond coursework alone. If you are a student looking to understand how the brain works, navigate a challenging neuroscience course, or explore the field for the first time, I will bring both genuine enthusiasm and real research experience into every session.
