Hi, I'm Eugenia! I'm a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at LIU Brooklyn (GPA 3.94), and I hold a BS in Psychology (Neuroscience track) from Yale University and an MA in Educational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. I've been tutoring and teaching students of all ages for over ten years, working one-on-one and in small groups across a wide range of subjects — from SAT/ACT prep and high school ELA to college essay coaching, math, reading comprehension, and introductory psychology. Honestly, I'm happy to work with students on pretty much any subject-- I pick things up quickly and love to re-learn subjects in order to help service students.

My approach is always individualized. I start by getting to know each student's specific strengths, gaps, and learning style, and I build from there-- adjusting pacing, methods, and material to what actually works for them. I believe academic confidence and genuine skill-building go hand in hand, so I work on both simultaneously. One of my recent ACT students raised their ACT English score from 24 to 35 over the course of our work together. I also have extensive experience supporting neurodiverse learners, including students with ADHD, ASD, mood disorders, and twice-exceptional profiles, and I bring a clinical and developmental lens to everything I do.

I'm available in-person throughout NYC and remotely, and I'm bilingual in English and Russian. Whether you're looking to raise a test score, strengthen writing skills, tackle a college application, or build foundational academic habits, I'd love to connect-- feel free to reach out to schedule a first session!

ACT Reading

ACT Reading

I have worked for more than 4 years tutoring students on the Reading and English sections of the ACT, helping students go from a 24/25 to a 34/35 score for each.
ACT Science

ACT Science

Though I have never taught ACT Science explicitly, I have consistently scored a 36 in the practice Science and believe that my experience as a TA in graduate level science courses and as a science tutor for middle-school/high-school level students would allow me to explain scientific reasoning with ease to anyone studying the ACT Science section.
ADHD

ADHD

I am a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at LIU Brooklyn with over ten years of experience working with students with ADHD in tutoring, teaching, and clinical support roles. At Quad Preparatory School in New York City, I supported neurodiverse and twice-exceptional students with executive functioning, social-emotional learning, and individualized academic planning throughout the school day. I bring a clinical and developmental lens to my tutoring work, adapting pacing, structure, and approach to meet each student where they are. I also have experience collaborating with families and other providers to build consistent, supportive plans that extend beyond the tutoring session.
SAT Writing

SAT Writing

I received an 800 on Writing and a 760 on Reading on my own SAT and have helped students reach 750+ on the English portions of the SAT.
