I’m a former Cornell University professor (Berkeley PhD, Harvard postdoc, visiting professor at Tokyo and Yonsei Universities) and served on the Cornell admissions committee, where I evaluated undergraduate applications at the highest level. In the past two years, my students were admitted to Cornell, Penn, Brown, Georgetown, Duke, Vanderbilt, and Williams, among other leading institutions.
My admissions work picks up where test scores and GPAs leave off: bringing the student alive on the page. It’s about helping admissions committees see what grades and accomplishments only suggest. And helping the student come through as a person, not a profile. In today's highly competitive admissions environment, that makes all the difference.
I also tutor the SAT (and ACT) Verbal section, helping motivated students to improve their scores by 100-150 points or more.
