My interest in tutoring began in high school, driven by a genuine desire to help others grasp material that didn't always come easily to them. That early passion grew into a long-term commitment spanning multiple teaching roles across very different settings and age groups. Today, as a first-year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine, I bring both a rigorous academic foundation and years of hands-on teaching experience to every student I work with. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology Magna Cum Laude at Stony Brook University, followed by a Master of Public Health, graduating with honors — so I understand firsthand what it takes to succeed in demanding academic environments.
My tutoring approach was shaped significantly by my time at Kumon, where I worked with elementary-aged students in English and math using a mastery-based model that emphasizes incremental progress and building confidence through structured practice. From there, I grew into more advanced teaching roles at Stony Brook University, where I served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for five courses — including Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Probability and Statistics — and later as an adjunct lecturer for Biochemistry I, where I held office hours, led exam review sessions, and communicated directly with professors about student progress. These experiences taught me how to break down complex scientific material and adjust my communication style to meet students where they are.
Across all of these roles, my goal has always been the same — to make difficult material feel approachable. I believe that with the right explanation and enough encouragement, any student can succeed, and I do my best to bring that belief into every session.
