Hello! My name is Cole (she/her) and I am studying neuroscience at Boston University where I also work as a tutor. I’m energetic, friendly, and happy to meet you wherever you are in your learning journey! I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and this summer I’m doing unpaid neuromodeling research and supplementing with tutoring students of all ages. I’ve tutored kindergarten through college in STEM and some ELA. I can help with classes, exams, or catching up over the summer and getting ahead.

I started tutoring six years ago as a freshman at Hunter College High School. When Covid hit, I saw how much my younger siblings struggled to keep up on Zoom format and I started a passion project tutoring the elementary and middle school kids of First Responders. I went on to become a peer tutor at Hunter, then continued on to freelance after high school, and am now paid to tutor other students at Boston University. I also TA an English course for Boston immigrants, and am open to practicing English with anyone who needs it. I have tutored for high school classes, SAT (I got a 1520), ACT, SHSAT, Hunter Test, and various AP’s/regents.

I love tutoring because I love to see students go from struggling to thriving. Formal education is amazing but often struggles to meet the needs of individuals.
