Hi!
I'm Luca, a student at Columbia Engineering studying Applied Mathematics, with minors in Applied Physics and Statistics. My academic experience has focused heavily on quantitative problem-solving, including calculus, linear algebra, probability & statistics, physics, and data science. I have also worked as a Quantitative Trading Intern at Morgan Stanley, where I applied mathematical modeling techniques in a fast-paced, real-world environment, further strengthening my ability to think rigorously and solve complex problems under pressure.
I also have several months of experience tutoring high school students in Algebra and Geometry in a one-on-one setting. I have worked with students at different skill levels, helping them improve their understanding of core concepts, their confidence in the classroom, complete assignments, and prepare for exams. This experience has given me familiarity with common challenges students face in these subjects and how to address them effectively.
I am comfortable working with middle and high school students in both structured and flexible learning environments, and I seek to help them build a strong mathematical foundation while improving accuracy and confidence in problem-solving.
Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson. Let's get started!
