Hi! I’m an Internal Medicine resident physician and an international medical graduate with firsthand experience navigating the USMLE journey and transitioning from an MBBS curriculum into the U.S. medical system. I understand the unique challenges IMG students face, including adapting to the USMLE style of questioning, managing large amounts of material, building an effective study schedule, and preparing for a highly competitive application process.
I tutor students preparing for USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK, with a focus on understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing facts. During our sessions, I help students identify the key clues in clinical vignettes, determine what the question is truly asking, connect symptoms and laboratory findings to the underlying diagnosis, and reason through each answer choice. We can review practice questions together, strengthen weak subject areas, discuss test-taking strategies, and create a realistic study plan based on your timeline, resources, and current level of preparation.
My teaching experience includes working with medical students as well as teaching English through multiple online platforms. This allows me to explain difficult medical concepts clearly and adapt my approach for students who may be studying medicine in a second language. I use practical examples, active recall, repetition, and question-based learning to make complicated topics easier to understand and remember.
My tutoring style is relaxed, supportive, and personalized. I will never judge you for what you do not know or make you feel uncomfortable asking questions. Instead, we will identify exactly where the confusion begins and work through it step by step. Whether you need help with foundational concepts, clinical reasoning, question interpretation, study planning, or staying accountable, my goal is for you to leave every session feeling more confident, organized, and prepared for your exam.
