Hillary is a passionate proponent of good writing as an essential life skill that is an invaluable asset in any academic, social, or professional endeavor. She takes great pride in helping writers and students of all levels express themselves with greater confidence, clarity, and concision.
She has taught creative writing for Stanford University, the Omega Institute, the Chautauqua Institute, The Loft, and the PEN and Atlantic Center for the Arts teen summer writing programs, among others. She has five years experience as a tutor in New York City, helping high school and college students with papers, application essays, and French. She also works as a writing coach and editor for adults pursuing independent projects.
