I'm currently a PhD student in Organizational Behavior at NYU's Stern School of Business. I hold an M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Baruch College (CUNY) and a B.A. in Sociology from Wesleyan University.
I have over ten years of experience teaching and tutoring students, spanning classroom instruction, one-on-one tutoring, residential programs, and peer mentorship. I began as a Writing Fellow at Wesleyan, working one-on-one with undergraduates on academic writing, and eventually led the Middletown Tutoring Program where I tutored local elementary students. I then spent two summers as an instructor and residential advisor at Exploration School, teaching middle and high school students in an immersive summer-program setting. I completed a year-long teaching apprenticeship in English and social studies at The Park School in Brookline, MA, followed by two years as a middle school language arts teacher at Synergy School in San Francisco.
My teaching has concentrated primarily on students in grades 6 through 12, with additional experience at the undergraduate level. I've worked across a range of contexts which has shaped a flexible, student-centered approach. I focus on building strong relationships first, then tailoring instruction to each student's learning style, pace, and goals. I draw on my training in psychology to help students develop executive functioning skills, manage academic stress, and build the kind of durable study habits that outlast any single assignment or exam.
