I am an incoming M.A. student in English at New York University and a graduate of Wesleyan University, where I double majored in Economics and English and earned a 3.75 GPA. My academic work involved extensive analytical writing across disciplines, including literary analysis, economics research papers, and data-driven projects, which required developing clear arguments, working with complex sources, and refining writing through multiple drafts.
At Wesleyan, I worked as both a teaching assistant and a peer tutor, supporting students in courses with a strong emphasis on writing and analysis. In these roles, I worked with students in one-on-one and small-group settings, helping them improve the clarity, structure, and precision of their work. I have experience working with students at different levels, particularly high school and college students, and I am comfortable adapting my approach based on each student’s needs.
My tutoring approach focuses on building lasting skills rather than short-term fixes. For writing, I work with students to develop strong arguments, organize their ideas effectively, and refine their voice through revision. For SAT reading and writing, I emphasize strategy and pattern recognition so students can approach passages with confidence. I aim to create structured, interactive sessions where students are actively engaged and leave with clear direction on how to continue improving.
