Hello! My name is Genevieve. I’m a Brooklyn native with a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia University. I currently teach part-time with a local creative writing program for children aged 7-18. While my degree is in creative writing and visual arts, I have always had a strong background in math and science as well. I’ve been tutoring since I was seventeen years old, first in more casual peer-to-peer contexts, and in the later part of high school, with a national tutoring company, for whom I still do freelance work. Education is in my blood, I come from a long line of educators and grew up assisting my grandmother with her in-house school. I enjoy working with young people and am consistently inspired by their enthusiasm and creativity.
For grade school, I attended one of the top private schools in the country (as proclaimed in the Wall Street Journal) by way of the Prep for Prep program. I have first-hand experience with the ISEE, SAT, and various SAT II exams. I graduated college with a 3.9 GPA and university honors. I am happy to provide support with test prep, homework assignments, creative projects, or simply answer questions about the academic process.
