Hi, I'm Javid. I am a Stanford University student studying Mechanical Engineering and am currently offering instruction in SAT Math. Throughout my studies, I have seen that understanding mathematics is useless if one cannot reproduce what they have learned. Together, the student and I will work to understand the scope and structure of each topic while progressing through carefully selected practice problems of increasing complexity. This kind of rigor will motivate creativity and teach the student to find solutions to new problems using their own intuition. Through this method, we build a solid foundation in each topic and become well-equipped to tackle any test question. We build strong problem-solving habits through deliberate study, working until each topic is understood and problems are approached consistently with confidence and elegance.
I have one year of one-on-one tutoring experience in Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, SAT Math, and Equations. I deliver high-level online mathematics instruction, including tutoring college-level mathematics for an international student in Europe. In addition, I designed and built custom remote tutoring software tailored to another student’s math competition. I also have extensive experience performing under pressure, with seven years as a Creative Mathematics competitor and a 2021 state championship in the speed-trigonometry competition Trig-Star.
After establishing a relationship with the student, I come to every session prepared with carefully chosen problems and a clear focus on the subject matter. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.
