Hello! I’m Sabira, a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and graduated with attaining Dean’s List every semester. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, I attended Stuyvesant High School, which gave me a strong foundation in mathematics and science that I love sharing with students.
I’ve been tutoring since college, working with students one-on-one to help them excel in subjects like Geometry, Algebra, Earth Science, and more. I have a track record of success on standardized tests, including scoring 1510 on my SAT and earning 99+ on all of my Math Regents exams, which helps me provide targeted strategies and practical tips for exam preparation.
My teaching approach is highly adaptable because I understand that every student learns differently. I have experience creating engaging and personalized lessons, whether online or in-person in cafés, libraries, or other convenient settings. In addition to academic tutoring, I’ve also been a Taekwondo instructor, which taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and experimenting with different teaching methods until each student finds what works best for them.
Although I paused tutoring after graduation, I’m excited to return to it now as I’m training for a marathon and using this opportunity to raise funds for charity. I look forward to helping students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and reach their full potential in both academics and beyond.
