I have been tutoring students since 2000, with over 25 years of experience providing individualized academic instruction to students in upper elementary, middle school, and high school. I work exclusively in one-on-one online settings, supporting students in math, ELA, writing, and standardized and entrance exam preparation, including SAT, SHSAT, and ISEE.
I hold a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, along with multiple master’s degrees, including Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania (Perelman School of Medicine), Sociology & Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and Health Education from Columbia University. This interdisciplinary academic background informs my teaching approach across subjects, particularly in building strong reasoning, clarity of thought, and structured problem-solving.
My math instruction spans elementary foundations through algebra, geometry, and SAT math, while my ELA and writing work focuses on reading comprehension, grammar, organization, and analytical writing. Since 2014, I have worked extensively with students preparing for competitive NYC entrance exams, (including the ISEE, SHSAT, HSPT) often supporting them across multiple academic years.
I have significant experience working with students who struggle with confidence, consistency, or test anxiety, as well as students aiming to refine skills for high-stakes assessments. My sessions emphasize clear explanations, strategy development, guided practice, and accountability, helping students reduce careless errors and become more independent learners.
My goal is to help students develop durable academic skills while building confidence in their ability to tackle challenging material in a structured, supportive online environment.
