I hold a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and have over ten years of teaching experience across creative and academic settings. My educational background is grounded in advanced mathematics, geometry, spatial reasoning, problem-solving, and other core components of architecture, engineering, and design. This training allows me to tutor math and STEM subjects with a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding, real-world application, and visual clarity.

Fun Fact: I was the first female to graduate with an Architectural Engineering degree from Oregon State University.

My teaching experience includes more than a decade of working with children and teens in one-on-one and small group environments, primarily through dance education and supplemental academic support. I have taught students ranging from elementary through college, adapting my approach to each student’s learning style and academic goals. My methods prioritize breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, using visual models, diagrams, and analogies. This approach helps students build genuine understanding of how concepts connect and how to approach unfamiliar problems independently.

Alongside my academic tutoring, I have worked as a professional contemporary dancer, which informs my role as an academic coach for performing artists and creative students. I regularly support students balancing rigorous training schedules with academic demands by helping them develop organization systems, time management strategies, and sustainable study habits. Having taught for over a decade, I understand the importance of building trust, consistency, and confidence, and I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel capable and empowered in both their academic and creative pursuits.
