I'm currently taking a sabbatical from professional software development to pursue a personal project that intersects software, music, and video games!
I really love to teach and have taught computer science and math to students in classroom settings for summer programs as well as one-on-one tutoring sessions. I've previously taught both middle schoolers as well as adults. My love for pedagogy started in high school when I made math videos on Youtube, similar to Khan Academy. Two of my greatest strengths in teaching are 1) patience and 2) being able to break down concepts step-by-step, so that concepts that were previously confusing become intuitive. I believe that true understanding comes not from memorization but building up concepts from first principles. Whether you're just starting out on your programming journey or need a refresher, I promise to help you to the best of my ability!
As a final note: in the era of AI that we live in, LLMs such as Gemini or Claude have immense potential to supercharge your learning, but they also have the potential to steer you astray.
