I am a former classroom teacher and current medical student with extensive experience teaching and tutoring science and exam-based subjects. I hold dual master's degrees in Science education and Special education, which trained me to differentiate instruction, support diverse learning needs, and adapt instruction for individualized success. Before medical school, I taught middle school and high school students, where I designed lesson plans, delivered instruction, assessed student understanding, and provided individualized academic support. Through this work, I consistently helped improve student Regents exam scores by up to 50% in one year.

My graduate training in education and certified teaching background inform my tutoring approach and allow me to explain complicated material in a clear, organized, and student-centered way using evidence-based instructional strategies and pedagogy.

I also hold a bachelor's degree and completed all prerequisite coursework for medical school, including biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and physics graduating cum-laude. My medical training gives me a strong command of MCAT content, pre-medical coursework and medical school subjects commonly tested on STEP 1.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive 1-on-1 tutoring experience with students ranging from high school through college and early medical school. I have supported students preparing for science exams, cumulative finals, Regents exams, and standardized tests by identifying learning gaps, reinforcing core concepts, and teaching effective study and test-taking strategies. My tutoring emphasizes active learning, problem solving, and long term retention rather than memorization alone.

As a medical student, I understand the challenges of managing demanding academic schedules and tailor tutoring plans to be efficient, focused, and high yield to optimize results. I adapt my teaching style to each student's age, learning style, and goals. I am tutor in both virtual and one-on-one settings.

Common Core

Common Core

I have over six years of experience teaching middle school and high school math and science using Common Core and Regents-aligned curricula. I taught in both the department of education and charter schools. I also provided students with after school tutoring aligned to state test exams. I hold a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in education, which gives me both strong content knowledge and formal training in pedagogy. I specialize in helping students master grade-level standards in reading, writing, and mathematics through structured, data-driven instruction. My classroom experience allows me to support students at different learning levels and help them build the skills needed to succeed on state exams and in school.
Earth Science

Earth Science

I have a strong foundation in Earth science through my Masters in Teaching science 7-12 where we learned how to teach environmental science, geology, and climate-related topics, as well as my undergraduate training where planetary and environmental factors were foundational courses. I am experienced in teaching and tutoring students on topics such as climate systems, natural resources, geologic processes, and environmental impacts on populations. My background as a former teacher allows me to explain complex Earth science concepts in a clear and structured way. I help students understand how Earth science shapes ecosystems, climate change, and the sustainability of human societies.
MCAT

MCAT

I am a current third year medical student who scored in the top 80th percentile on the MCAT after preparing while working full-time on a limited three-month study timeline. I have firsthand experience improving MCAT performance, including raising my own score by nine points in just three weeks through targeted strategy and content review. I use that foundation learned from MCAT daily in my medical training across biology, chemistry, physics, and critical reasoning. I now help pre-medical students master high-yield science topics, passage-based reasoning, and test-day strategy. My background as a former teacher allows me to create efficient, structured study plans that lead to measurable score gains.
Sociology

Sociology

I have extensive training in sociology through my undergraduate coursework and my medical education, where I regularly apply sociological principles such as social determinants of health, health disparities, and structural inequality. I have conducted community-based work and patient surveys in underserved populations, including administering PRAPARE social needs assessments to dozens of patients in clinical settings. My background as a former teacher and current medical student allows me to explain sociological concepts clearly and apply them to real-world issues such as poverty, housing, race, immigration, and access to healthcare.
USMLE

USMLE

I am a current third year U.S. medical student who has successfully completed USMLE Step 1 and consistently performed well on NBME shelf exams during my clinical clerkships. I apply USMLE-style clinical reasoning daily on the wards, using pathophysiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic algorithms to manage real patient cases. I help students prepare for the USMLE through high-yield content review, question-based learning, and strategic test-taking. My background as a former teacher allows me to explain complex medical concepts clearly and efficiently.
