I am a senior at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, majoring in Law and Society. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in legal studies, research, and writing, and I enjoy helping others understand complex topics in clear and engaging ways. Through my coursework and internship experience in a criminal and traffic court, I have developed a strong ability to explain legal and social concepts with real-world examples that make learning meaningful.
In addition to my studies, I work as an administrative and research assistant in the Office for Student Research and Creativity at John Jay. In this role, I help students organize projects, strengthen their writing, and improve their analytical skills. I have also supported event planning and presentations, which has deepened my understanding of effective communication and teamwork. My tutoring approach focuses on patience, structure, and encouragement—I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking ownership of their learning.
I have experience working with elementary students, high school and college students both one-on-one and in small groups. Whether helping someone refine an essay, understand research methods, or prepare for exams, I tailor my approach to fit each student’s learning style. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students succeed academically but also to help them build confidence in their ability to think critically and express their ideas clearly.
