During and after taking the bar exam, I helped classmates break down difficult concepts in torts, contracts, constitutional law, and other MBE/MEE subjects. I bring the same structured, confidence-building approach to LSAT logic, reading comprehension, and reasoning skills.

If you’re preparing for the LSAT, working on a personal statement, or looking to deepen your writing and analytical skills, I’d love to support you with clear guidance, actionable strategies and by being your coach and sounding board.

Essay Writing

As an attorney, I have drafted and filed all kinds of persuasive legal writing with federal and state courts, including detailed complaints, technical procedural motions, and persuasive dispositive motions, like motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. I also drafted informative client notes about graduate student unions, based on my writing about the same subject for the National Conference of State Legislatures. These skills were built on the foundation of my collegiate and law school writing experience. In college, I served as a senior writer for The Gate, UChicago's undergraduate political review, and consistently earned A's in classes that required final papers.

Personal Statements

Personal Statements

In college and law school, I peer-reviewed my classmates' personal statements for law school, medical school, STEM graduate school and prestigious post-grad fellowships as a member of the UChicago Rosenzweig Scholars program. As a practicing lawyer, I have informally reviewed and edited law school applicants' personal statements, and have watched my (volunteer) clients accept multiple offers from T14 law schools. As a Biglaw associate, I used these skills to evaluate summer associate candidates' written responses to candidate questionnaires for authenticity and cultural fit, and inform my interview questions. My evaluation helped the hiring committee determine whether candidates received an offer from our firm or not.
