I graduated from Bard with Honors, and was awarded the 2024 Margaret and John Bard Scholars Prize in Languages & Literature for "outstanding academic achievement." In 2024 I was also awarded the Mark Purlia '71 Memorial Scholarship ("awarded annually to a student who, in the judgment of the Division of Languages and Literature, best fulfills conditions of ability and character").

I have over five years of experience working with students both in groups and one on one as an arts instructor at a summer arts camp called Meadowedge. My time studying creative writing at Bard has also given me a robust foundation of experience in creative writing workshop settings. I love helping students gain confidence in themselves and their writing. My hope is that the students I work with feel that their written practice allows them to become increasingly active participants in their relationship with themselves and with the surrounding world.

Creative Writing

I completed a four year undergraduate degree in Creative Writing with a focus in Poetry. In my senior year I was awarded the 2024 Margaret and John Bard Scholars Prize in Languages & Literature as well as the Mark Purlia '71 Memorial Scholarship from the Division of Languages and Literature. At Bard I studied with a number of published authors such as Jenny Offill, Hua Hsu, and Ann Lauterbach. My writing has appeared in several literary journals. I also edit a small Brooklyn-based literary journal called The Bridge.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

A large part of the work towards my degree was devoted to writing essays—both creative and critical—for literature, history, and philosophy courses. I have a firm grasp on what makes a good essay, and have years of experience helping others craft their own. Clients of mine have gone on to successfully apply to graduate school using essays they workshopped with me. I'm happy to help at any stage in the writing process, from brainstorming to reviewing a penultimate draft!
Guitar

Guitar

I've played guitar for over ten years, specializing in Indie Rock, Folk, and Country—but I have significant experience playing Jazz, Blues, and RnB as well. I now have 2+ years of experience teaching beginners. I'm most passionate about helping musicians who are new to guitar achieve a level of confidence that helps them play with others—one of the great joys of learning an instrument.
