I’m Emily! I am currently a Student Doctor of Podiatric Medicine student at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Hunter College. My academic journey has been rooted in both the sciences and hands-on research, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of complex subjects while honing my ability to explain them clearly. Over the years, I have combined my academic knowledge with practical experience in educational and clinical settings, which has shaped my approach to tutoring. I strive to make learning engaging and personalized, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of my students.

I have extensive tutoring experience across a variety of subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Chemistry, English, and literacy and writing. I have worked one-on-one and in small groups with middle and high school students, creating individualized lesson plans and practice exercises to reinforce understanding and confidence. Beyond traditional academics, I have guided students in developing problem-solving skills and study strategies that help them succeed in exams and long-term learning. My approach emphasizes patience, clarity, and active engagement, ensuring students not only learn the material but also feel supported and motivated throughout the process.

In addition to my tutoring experience, I have worked as a Physics tutor at Hunter College and have served as an Applied Behavior Analysis paraprofessional, supporting children with autism spectrum disorder in developing social, communication, and learning skills. I am committed to fostering an encouraging and inclusive learning environment and welcome any resources or feedback from students or parents to tailor sessions further. I am easy to reach and responsive, and I am excited to help students achieve their academic goals and develop a love for learning.
