Bio

I’m a lifelong learner and autodidact with a diverse background in music, photography, visual art, bookkeeping, and technology. I hold a B.A. in Music/Management from Manhattanville University and a certificate in Cybersecurity from the Columbia School of Engineering. Over the years, I’ve toured internationally as a musician, exhibited and sold my artwork, and provided IT and finance support to both large corporations and small businesses.

I’m a lifelong learner and autodidact with a diverse background in music, photography, visual art, bookkeeping, and technology. I hold a B.A. in Music/Management from Manhattanville University and a certificate in Cybersecurity from the Columbia School of Engineering. Over the years, I’ve toured internationally as a musician, exhibited and sold my artwork, and provided IT and finance support to both large corporations and small businesses.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been mentoring individuals one-on-one, working with young adults and adults. I enjoy helping learners explore creative subjects like music, art, and photography, as well as practical skills in technology, computer literacy, and finance. My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each person’s pace and goals, creating a supportive environment where curiosity can flourish and learning feels manageable and meaningful.

I’m especially passionate about connecting STEM and the humanities, showing how creativity and analytical thinking can complement each other. Teaching is my way of serving my community and helping individuals grow with confidence, insight, and a sense of curiosity about the world.

While my college degree is in music, Im a working artist as well and my work is heavily informed by my knowledge and love of music. Prior to pursuing my music degree, I was an art history major, too. I also work professionally as a photographer and creating images with a camera visually can carry much of the same vocabulary as a painting.
