I am a senior at Baruch College majoring in Financial Mathematics, with plans to pursue a Master’s in Financial Engineering and a career as a quantitative researcher in algorithmic trading. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in probability, statistics, and calculus, and I enjoy helping others understand these subjects in a way that feels practical and engaging. I believe that even the most abstract math concepts can become intuitive when connected to real-world examples.

I bring both classroom and one-on-one tutoring experience to my lessons. I previously served as a teaching assistant for Calculus I at Penn State University, where I worked with large groups of students, graded assignments, and held problem-solving sessions. In addition, I have worked as a freelance tutor with Stigmi Learning, supporting high school and college students in mathematics. These experiences taught me how to adapt to different learning styles, whether helping a student master the basics or guiding them through more advanced applications.

My approach to tutoring is to break down each concept into its smallest parts, explain those parts with simple and relatable real-world examples, and then build back up to the full problem. I find this keeps students from feeling lost or overwhelmed and allows them to see how everything connects. A typical lesson lasts 60 to 90 minutes and balances explanation, practice problems, and review. I aim to help students not only improve their grades but also build confidence in their ability to learn and apply mathematics. Tutoring, for me, is also preparation for my own career, since explaining complex ideas clearly is an essential skill in quantitative research.
