Hi, I’m Marcello! I’ve been tutoring math for over five years, covering everything from algebra and geometry to precalculus, calculus, as well as SAT, ACT, and Regents prep. What I love most about tutoring is helping students not only raise their grades but also feel more confident and less stressed about math.

I’m very down-to-earth and easy to get along with. I know math can be intimidating, so I keep my sessions encouraging and relaxed where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and work things out without pressure. I’m effective and focused, but I’m not the strict, "drill-sergeant" type. My goal is always to meet students where they are and build from there, whether that means preparing for a big test, tackling advanced coursework, or supporting an IEP.
I got my start as a teaching assistant in both general and special education classrooms in New York City (also for five years), working one-on-one and in small groups to help students strengthen their math foundations. Since then, I’ve tutored high school and college students, and most of them see real results. Many improve their grades significantly, and SAT students often raise their scores by 100–150 points.
Outside of tutoring, I have a background in finance and data analysis, which keeps my problem-solving sharp (and gives me plenty of real-world examples to connect math concepts to everyday life). I also teach remotely using Zoom, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Teams, making sessions interactive and engaging.
My overall goal is simple: to make math feel approachable, clear, and maybe even a little enjoyable- no matter where you’re starting from.
