My journey in physics began when I took AP Physics 1 my freshman year of high school. I learned that I loved the subject, and also scored a 5 on the AP exam. I went on to score 5s on AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics C E&M, and AP Calculus AB during my sophomore year. By the time I was a freshman at Brown University, I was the only first year student in the junior/senior level quantum mechanics course, where I scored a 100% on all three of the notoriously difficult exams. By my sophomore year, I had completed the undergraduate curriculum and taken several graduate courses with a 4.0 GPA. I also began conducting original research in fluid dynamics and plasma physics.
I love teaching perhaps even more than I love learning and researching physics. It is extremely rewarding to watch the gears turn and click into place when a student is coming to understand new concepts. I go above and beyond for all my students, sending supplemental materials and explanations as needed. I genuinely want to help you learn!
Outside of math and physics, I enjoy reading broadly, learning languages (self-taught to fluency in Spanish and Russian), and spending time in nature and among friends. If any of the above sounds like a good fit, please reach out! I would be happy to work with you.
