I have a degree in Economics from the Wharton School at U Penn, and numerous marketing research industry awards to my name. I help students achieve a level of understanding that goes beyond what's needed for "the test," and that gets them to where they are actually set up for success in college and beyond.

I have two years of experience tutoring Algebra I and Algebra II and have taught and tutored SAT prep for The Princeton Review (generating triple-digit score increases).

To make the best use of our time together, I prefer to have my student suggest an agenda in advance, though I'm happy to suggest one for them if needed. My approach involves taking the time to understand the source of any challenge the student is facing: is there a specific aspect that is tripping them up, or do they need help with a more basic foundational concept? If the issue is conceptual, I look for ways to make the topic feel more concrete, more tangible, more relevant, less abstract. If it is a more specific, procedural challenge, I walk through as many examples (with explanation of each step) as needed.
