Hello, I'm Aaron! I graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. My specialties are Mathematics (the full sequence of math courses, up to and including Calculus 2), Physics (early college or high school), and Computer Science (fundamentals, Python, Javascript). I scored a perfect 800 on the SAT Math section, and 5s in the following AP Exams (Calc AB, BC, and Physics C: Mechanics).
As a Math and Physics tutor, I successfully guided a diverse range of students one-on-one through subjects from Pre-Algebra to Calculus II, in both remedial and advanced courses. My approach, which is informed by formal training in coaching and facilitation, is similar to what I learned as an engineer; determine what we're starting with, break the complex problem into simple steps, and use what we have to solve the problem. As a Software/Solutions Engineer and AI Specialist, I've had the chance to apply my theoretical knowledge in concrete commercial applications. I used simple kinematics to solve a tracking problem in my R&D work, and I've designed complex math queries to do quality testing on an advanced math AI model. When I teach a concept like calculus or physics, I can show you exactly how it's used in fields like AI or robotics!
