My name is Skye, I am a freshly minted physician assistant looking to pay forward some of the knowledge, test taking skills and study strategies I’ve picked up along the way.
I have a BS in biochemistry from the University of Portland, and a MS in physician assistant studies from Brenau University. Both have given me a strong foundation in Biology, chemistry, and health sciences as well as strategies for standardized test taking and studying large volumes of material.
My philosophy when it comes to learning is that it should be conversational and individual. As a tutor my role is to accurately identify gaps in knowledge and take the extra time to work through difficult concepts, while building lasting understanding, and learning strategies.
Some other areas of experience: EMT/NREMT, pre-PA, OA school tutoring, cell culture and microbiology, genetics.
Aside from that, I’m a laid back people person happy to help in whatever capacity I can, be it tutoring in a specific subject, for a specific test, or help with application to, or completion of either EMT or physician assistant programs.
